Simetrične komponente

Simetrične komponente su matematička tehnika za analizu neuravnoteženih trofaznih električnih kola dekompozicijom na uravnotežene skupove komponenti. Metoda, koju je 1918. uveo Čarls Forteskju, transformiše složenu analizu neuravnoteženih sistema u jednostavnija uravnotežena ekvivalentna kola. Simetrične komponente su fundamentalne za razumevanje kvarova, koordinaciju zaštite i stabilnost u elektroenergetskim sistemima, ostajući neophodne u savremenom radu mreže.
