Slabe nadgledane ugradnje rečenica obučavaju guste reprezentacije rečenica koristeći neprecizne, heurističke ili programski generisane oznake umesto skupog ručnog anotiranja. Funkcije označavanja — pravila, signali udaljenog nadzora ili lagani klasifikatori — obezbeđuju približni nadzor koji model oznaka agregira u verovatnosne oznake, koje zatim vode enkodere rečenica da proizvedu reprezentacije korisne za zadatke u velikom obimu.
