Barthel in 1965, the Barthel Index evaluates a patient's ability to perform ten essential self-care and mobility activities. The Care Dependency Scale (CDS) is a comprehensive assessment tool that measures the degree of care dependency in patients by evaluating their ability to perform activities of daily living and manage their health conditions independently.
