Regresioni logjistik multinomial shtrin regresionin logjistik binomial në rezultate me tre ose më shumë kategori të paorganizuar. Ai modelon log-shanset e çdo kategorie në raport me një kategori referuese të zgjedhur si një funksion linear i prediktorëve, dhe vlerëson të gjitha parametrat njëkohësisht nëpërmjet maksimizimit të mundësisë.
