Modelet e Interaksionit Hapësinor (Gravitacional)
Modelet e interaksionit hapësinor parashikojnë vëllimin e rrjedhave — migrues, udhëtarë në punë, blerës, tregti, udhëtime — midis origjinave dhe destinacioneve si funksion i madhësisë së secilit vend dhe i distancës ose kostos që i ndan ato. Nga analogjia me gravitacionin e Njutonit, interaksioni rritet me 'masën' e origjinës dhe destinacionit dhe bie me ndarjen, ndërsa familja e Wilsonit të vitit 1971 e maksimizimit të entropisë i vendosi këto modele në një bazë rigoroze për analizën e transportit, migracionit dhe shitjeve me pakicë.
