Modeli Lokal Durbin Spacial (Local SDM) zgjeron Modelin Durbin Spacial global duke lejuar që koeficientët e regresionit të ndryshojnë në hapësirën gjeografike. Ai kombinon aftësinë e SDM-së për të kapur si vonesën spciale të variablës së varur ashtu edhe vonesat spciale të kovariatëve me një kornizë vlerësimi të peshuar gjeografikisht, duke prodhuar efekte të ndikimit (spillover) direkte dhe indirekte specifikë për vendndodhjen.
