Analiza interpretative e diskursit është një qasje kualitative që shqyrton se si gjuha ndërton realitete sociale, identitete dhe kuptime brenda konteksteve specifike. Duke operuar nga një epistemologji interpretiviste, ajo i trajton tekstet dhe bisedën jo si dritare transparente drejt botës, por si vende aktive ku kuptimi negociohet, dhe kërkon të kuptojë ato kuptime nga këndv perspective e pjesëmarrësve të vendosur brenda botëve të tyre sociale dhe kulturore.
