Rrjeti Plotësisht Konvolucional (FCN), i prezantuar nga Long, Shelhamer dhe Darrell në CVPR 2015, ishte arkitektura e parë e thellë e të mësuarit "end-to-end" e trajnuar për të prodhuar harta të dendura të segmentimit semantik "pixel-wise" nga imazhe me madhësi arbitrare. Duke zëvendësuar shtresat plotësisht të lidhura të një CNN klasifikimi me shtresa konvolucionale dhe duke shtuar "upsampling" të mësuar përmes konvolucioneve të transpozuara dhe lidhjeve "skip", FCN mundësoi parashikimin e drejtpërdrejtë të një etikete klase për çdo piksel në një imazh, duke vendosur modelin për të gjitha arkitekturat e mëvonshme të segmentimit, duke përfshirë U-Net dhe DeepLab.
