Tehnica Delphi la Distanță aplică procesul structurat, iterativ, de consens al metodei clasice Delphi în întregime prin canale de comunicare la distanță — e-mail, platforme de sondaje online sau instrumente dedicate de colaborare — eliminând necesitatea prezenței geografice comune. Experții completează runde succesive de chestionare asincron, primind rezumate statistice anonimizate ale răspunsurilor anterioare ale grupului înainte de fiecare rundă nouă, până la atingerea unui prag predefinit de consens.
