Developed by Kurt Kroenke and colleagues in 2001, the PHQ-9 is now widely used in healthcare systems worldwide as a rapid, accurate screening and monitoring tool.The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) is a 21-item self-report instrument designed to measure the severity of depressive symptoms in adolescents and adults. Developed by Aaron T. Beck in 1961 and revised as the BDI-II in 1996, it has become one of the most widely used screening and monitoring tools in clinical psychology and psychiatry.
