| Rezumat≠ | The ITQOL is a generic parent-report instrument developed by Landgraf et al. in 1997 to measure health-related quality of life in infants and toddlers aged 2 months to 5 years. Addressing the developmental uniqueness of the very young, the ITQOL captures health-related functioning across domains relevant to early childhood: physical growth and development, respiratory functioning, sleep patterns, emotional security, parental time and emotional burden, and family social functioning. A 97-item full form and 47-item abbreviated form are available, enabling comprehensive or brief assessment depending on clinical context. | The Child Health Questionnaire is a generic, parent-reported instrument developed by Landgraf et al. in 1996 to measure health-related quality of life in children aged 5–18 years. Unlike disease-specific measures, the CHQ captures broad domains of physical, emotional, social, and school functioning, making it suitable for diverse pediatric populations with or without chronic conditions. The CHQ-50 is the most widely used parent-report form; shorter (CHQ-28) and comprehensive (CHQ-CF87 child + family) versions are also available. |
