| Rezumat≠ | The Glasgow-Blatchford score (GBS), developed by Blatchford et al. in 2000, is a 23-point risk stratification tool for predicting the need for intervention (transfusion, endoscopic therapy, surgery) in patients presenting with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It integrates clinical and laboratory data to identify low-risk patients who may be candidates for outpatient or non-interventional management. | CURB-65, derived and validated by Lim et al. in 2003, is a 5-point severity of illness score for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). It assesses confusion, urea nitrogen, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and age ≥65 years to stratify mortality risk and guide admission and treatment decisions. |
