ResumoExposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a behavioral intervention designed to reduce anxiety and compulsive behaviors by having clients repeatedly confront feared situations or intrusive thoughts without engaging in safety behaviors or compulsions. Developed by Edna B. Foa and colleagues in the 1980s, ERP is now considered the gold-standard treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and is also highly effective for anxiety disorders, PTSD, and specific phobias.Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) assessment is a structured diagnostic and formulation process that identifies the relationships between situations, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors maintaining psychological distress. Rooted in the cognitive model developed by Aaron T. Beck in the 1960s, CBT assessment produces a personalized functional analysis that guides treatment planning and intervention selection.
