It is the most widely used instrument for assessing dissociative symptom severity in both clinical and research settings, valuable for identifying depersonalisation disorder, monitoring treatment response, and understanding the prevalence of depersonalisation in anxiety, mood, and trauma populations. | The DERS is a 36-item self-report measure assessing multidimensional emotion dysregulation across six related but distinct facets.
