Topologioptimering (SIMP)
Topologioptimering er en beregningsmetode for optimal materialfordeling innenfor et designrom for å maksimere strukturell ytelse (styrke, stivhet) samtidig som vekt eller kostnad minimeres. Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization (SIMP)-metoden, utviklet av Bendsoe og Kikuchi (1988), raffinerer iterativt en materialtetthetsfordeling over designområdet ved hjelp av sensitivitetsanalyse og gradientbasert optimering. SIMP har revolusjonert strukturell design innen luftfart, bilindustri og maskinteknikk ved å automatisere genereringen av effektive strukturer.
