Shors algoritme

Shors algoritme er en kvantealgoritme med polynomisk tidskompleksitet for faktorisering av store heltall og beregning av diskrete logaritmer, problemer som antas å være uoverkommelige for klassiske datamaskiner. Den ble oppdaget av Peter Shor i 1994 og demonstrerte kvantedatamaskiners potensial til å bryte mye brukte kryptografiske systemer som RSA, noe som markerte en milepæl innen kvanteberegningsteori.
