Galerkin-metoden

Galerkin-metoden er en projeksjonsbasert variasjonsteknikk for å løse differensialligninger ved å redusere uendelig-dimensjonale problemer til endelig-dimensjonale lineære systemer. Utviklet av Boris Galerkin i 1915 og uavhengig av Ivan Bubnoff, danner den grunnlaget for Finite Element Method (FEM) og er fundamental for moderne beregningsteknikk.
