Semi-veiledet LightGBM kombinerer LightGBMs svært effektive gradientforsterkningsrammeverk med semi-veiledede strategier — oftest pseudo-merking eller selvopplæring — for å utnytte store mengder umerkede data sammen med et mindre sett med merkede data, og dermed forbedre prediktiv ytelse når det er kostbart eller tidkrevende å innhente merker.
