Attribuutcontrolediagrammen (p, np, c, u)
Attribuutcontrolediagrammen breiden het raamwerk van Shewhart uit naar tel- en proportiedata — kwaliteitskenmerken die geclassificeerd in plaats van gemeten worden. De p- en np-diagrammen monitoren de proportie of het aantal defecte eenheden met behulp van de binomiale verdeling, terwijl de c- en u-diagrammen het aantal defecten per eenheid monitoren met behulp van de Poisson-verdeling. Het zijn de standaard tools voor statistische procesbeheersing wanneer inspectie leidt tot een oordeel goed/fout of defecttellingen in plaats van continue metingen.
