Netwerkgebaseerde scientometrische analyse
Netwerkgebaseerde scientometrische analyse past graaf-theoretische methoden toe op bibliografische gegevens — publicaties, citaties, auteurs en trefwoorden — om de intellectuele structuur van een wetenschappelijk veld in kaart te brengen. Door documenten of auteurs als knooppunten te modelleren en hun relaties (citaten, co-auteurschappen, co-woord-voorkomens) als verbindingen, onthult het kennisclusters, centrale actoren, opkomende onderwerpen en de stroom van ideeën tussen disciplines. Hulpmiddelen zoals VOSviewer, Gephi en het R-pakket bibliometrix worden veelvuldig gebruikt.
