Field-based conversation analysis (field CA) past de rigoureuze sequentieel-analytische methoden van conversation analysis toe op praten en interactie die zijn opgenomen in echte settings — werkplekken, klinieken, klaslokalen en openbare ruimtes — in plaats van op vooraf bestaande corpora of laboratoriumdata.
