Kritische auto-etnografie — Kritisch auto-etnografisch onderzoek
Kritische auto-etnografie combineert de zelf-reflectieve persoonlijke narratief van auto-etnografie met de sociaal-rechtvaardige oriëntatie van de kritische theorie. De onderzoeker gebruikt de eigen geleefde ervaring als primaire data om machtsstructuren, systemische ongelijkheden en culturele normen te bevragen — waarbij het persoonlijke niet louter als getuigenis wordt behandeld, maar als een plaats voor politieke en theoretische kritiek. Het wordt veelvuldig gebruikt om de stemmen van gemarginaliseerde groepen te centreren en dominante sociale narratieven uit te dagen.
