Vergelijkende Digitale Etnografie
Vergelijkende Digitale Etnografie (VDE) is een kwalitatief onderzoeksontwerp dat etnografische methoden — langdurige participerende observatie, interviews en artefactanalyse — gelijktijdig toepast in twee of meer digitale omgevingen. Door praktijken, betekenissen en interacties in verschillende online omgevingen (bijv. afzonderlijke platforms, gemeenschappen of nationale contexten) systematisch te vergelijken, brengt VDE zowel locatiespecifieke patronen als overkoepelende culturele logica's aan het licht die een studie van één locatie zou missen.
