African Vultures Optimization Algorithm
Het African Vultures Optimization Algorithm (AVOA) is een metaheuristisch algoritme, geïntroduceerd door Moghdani en Salimifard in 2020, geïnspireerd door het zoek- en aasgedrag van Afrikaanse gieren. Gieren gebruiken geavanceerde collaboratieve strategieën om karkassen over grote afstanden te lokaliseren, waarbij ze gebruikmaken van thermische luchtstromen en groepsdynamiek om efficiënt te navigeren. AVOA vertaalt dit collectieve jachtgedrag naar een effectief optimalisatiekader.
