Multicenter Screening Test Evaluation — Beoordeling van Testprestaties over Meerdere Locaties
Een multicenter screening testevaluatie meet de diagnostische nauwkeurigheid van een screeningstest — de sensitiviteit, specificiteit, predictieve waarden en ROC-curve-oppervlak — door deelnemers te werven op twee of meer onafhankelijke klinische locaties. Het uitvoeren van de studie op meerdere centra verbreedt het patiëntenspectrum, test de generaliseerbaarheid over verschillende laboratoriumomstandigheden en patiëntenpopulaties, en produceert nauwkeurigheidsschattingen die extern validen zijn dan een studie met één centrum.
