Matched dose-response analysis — Beoordeling van de blootstellingsgradiënt in gematchte designs
Matched dose-response analysis evalueert of toenemende blootstellingsniveaus geassocieerd zijn met proportioneel toenemende (of afnemende) risico's op een uitkomst, binnen een studie waarbij cases en controles — of blootgestelde en niet-blootgestelde individuen — opzettelijk zijn gematcht op belangrijke confounders zoals leeftijd, geslacht of studielocatie. Matching controleert residuele confounding structureel, terwijl de dosis-responscomponent test of de blootstelling-uitkomstrelatie een biologisch plausibele gradiënt volgt, wat de causale inferentie versterkt.
