SamenvattingPilot-tested sensor data collection is a structured data gathering approach in which sensor instruments — hardware or software-based devices that measure physical, environmental, physiological, or behavioral signals — are deployed in a small-scale trial before the main study. The pilot phase verifies sensor accuracy, communication reliability, data format consistency, and placement adequacy, allowing researchers to identify and correct technical problems before full-scale data collection begins.Remote sensor data collection is the systematic acquisition of measurements from geographically distributed sensing devices without requiring direct human presence at each location. Sensors continuously or periodically record physical, chemical, or biological variables — temperature, pressure, motion, light, GPS coordinates — and transmit readings wirelessly or via network to a central repository for analysis. Widely used in environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, health informatics, and smart infrastructure.
