Analisis Graf Pengetahuan Terarah mewakili pengetahuan faktual sebagai multigraf berlabel terarah bagi entiti (simpul) dan relasi bertipe (tepi terarah), membolehkan penaakulan, inferens, dan penemuan terstruktur ke atas set data heterogen yang besar. Arah tepi pengekodan hubungan asimetri seperti 'dikarya-oleh', 'menyebabkan', atau 'adalah-a', menjadikan graf lebih kaya secara semantik berbanding alternatif tak terarah.
