Protokols Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
BGP ir de facto standarta maršrutēšanas protokols autonomo sistēmu (AS) savienošanai internetā. Kopš tā ieviešanas 1989. gadā BGP ir ļāvis internetam izaugt līdz miljoniem maršrutētāju un triljoniem galamērķu. BGP ir ceļu vektoru protokols, kas izmanto elastīgu politikas sistēmu maršrutu izplatīšanas un izvēles kontrolei. Lai gan BGP konverģence var būt lēna un politikas sarežģītas, tas joprojām ir vienīgais dzīvotspējīgais protokols starpdomēnu maršrutēšanai interneta mērogā.
