カイ二乗検定の検出力分析とは、カイ二乗独立性検定または適合度検定に必要な最小サンプルサイズ、あるいは与えられたサンプルサイズで達成可能な統計的検出力を決定するための、事前計算のことである。これは、ジェイコブ・コーエンが行動科学における統計的検出力に関する1988年の画期的な著作で体系化した、コーエンのw効果量フレームワークに基づいている。
