評価指向型混合手法メタ推論とは、プログラム評価研究における厳密な結論導出プロセスであり、研究者は混合手法研究の定量的・定性的両方のストランドから引き出された推論を、単一の、首尾一貫した、より高次の結論へと統合する。このメタ推論は、プログラムの価値、功績、または影響といった評価質問に明示的に結び付けられ、推論の一貫性と解釈の一貫性という二重の質的基準によって判断される。
