バリューストリームマッピング（VSM）は、製品またはサービスを原材料から顧客への配送まで、その流れに必要な材料と情報の流れを可視化、分析、改善するために使用されるリーンマネジメント手法です。1999年にマイク・ロザーとジョン・シュックが著書『Learning to See』で紹介したVSMは、トヨタ生産方式の伝統を引き継ぎ、生産バリューストリーム全体にわたる無駄、遅延、付加価値のない活動を明らかにします。
