早期警告スコア
早期警告スコア（EWS）は、英国では一般的にNational Early Warning Score（NEWS）として知られており、病状悪化のリスクがある急性疾患患者を特定するための標準化されたツールです。英国王立医師会によって開発され、Smith、Prytherchらの研究によって検証されたNEWSは、バイタルサイン測定と補助酸素の使用を組み合わせて複合スコアを生成します。高いNEWSスコアは、ケアの強化をトリガーし、重篤な疾患が発生する前に早期介入を可能にします。
