Nursing Workload NEMS
The Nine Equivalents of Nursing Manpower Use Score (NEMS) is a validated assessment instrument specifically designed to quantify nursing workload in intensive care unit (ICU) settings. Developed by Miranda, Moreno, and Iapichino, NEMS measures the intensity of nursing care required based on therapeutic interventions and patient monitoring activities.
