機能的多様性（Functional Diversity）
機能的多様性とは、ある群集における種間の機能的形質（形態、生理、行動）の範囲と個体数分布を定量化したものである。Mouillotら（2008）によって開発された機能的多様性指数は、種がその生態学的役割や資源利用戦略においてどれほど異なっているかを測定する。種の豊富さ（種の数）とは異なり、機能的多様性は生態学的戦略の広がりを捉え、生態系の機能と安定性を予測する。
