Analisis ukuran efek mengkuantifikasi besaran praktis dari suatu hasil statistik yang independen dari ukuran sampel. Alih-alih hanya menanyakan apakah perbedaan atau hubungan signifikan secara statistik, analisis ini menanyakan seberapa besar hasilnya, menggunakan indeks terstandarisasi seperti Cohen's d, eta-squared, omega-squared, atau Pearson's r yang memungkinkan perbandingan langsung antar studi dan populasi.
