ÖsszefoglalóThe UCLA Prostate Cancer Index (UCLA PCI) is a 20-item, prostate-cancer-specific quality-of-life instrument focused on functional outcomes (urinary, sexual, bowel) rather than general cancer QoL. Developed by Litwin et al. in 1998, it has become the standard functional assessment tool in prostate cancer outcomes research, particularly for treatment comparison studies evaluating surgical vs. radiation outcomes. The FACT-Prostate (FACT-P) is a disease-specific quality-of-life instrument for men with prostate cancer, combining the 27-item FACT-G core with a 12-item prostate-specific subscale addressing urinary, sexual, and bowel function concerns. Developed and validated by Esper et al. in 1997, it is a standard outcome measure in prostate cancer clinical trials and clinical practice.
