Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
OSPF הוא פרוטוקול שער פנימי (IGP) מבוסס מצב-קישור (link-state) לניתוב בתוך מערכת אוטונומית. הוא הוצג על ידי ג'ון מוי בשנת 1998, ומתכנס מהר יותר מפרוטוקולי וקטור-מרחק ותומך בריבוי נתיבים בעלי עלות שווה (ECMP). הוא נותר בשימוש נרחב ברשתות ארגוניות ורשתות ספקיות אינטרנט (ISP) לניתוב בתוך-תחום, אם כי IS-IS מועדף יותר ויותר בעמודים שדרתיים גדולים.
