תרשים בקרה EWMA
תרשים הבקרה של ממוצע נע משוקלל אקספוננציאלית (EWMA), שהוצג על ידי ס. ו. רוברטס בשנת 1959, מנטר תהליך באמצעות ממוצע משוקלל המעניק לתצפית העדכנית ביותר את המשקל הגדול ביותר, בעוד שתצפיות ישנות יותר דועכות באופן גיאומטרי. בדומה ל-CUSUM, זיכרון זה הופך אותו ליעיל ביותר בזיהוי שינויים קטנים ומתמשכים בממוצע התהליך, כאשר פרמטר החלקה יחיד, λ, שולט בכמות המידע מהעבר שהתרשים שומר.
