שיטת מק'ייב-ת'יל
שיטת מק'ייב-ת'יל (McCabe-Thiele Method), שהוצגה על ידי וורן ל. מק'ייב וארנסט וו. ת'יל בשנת 1925, היא טכניקה גרפית לתכנון וניתוח של מגדלי זיקוק. היא חוזה את מספר הפלטות התיאורטיות (שלבים) הנדרשות להשגת הפרדה רצויה בין רכיבים קלים וכבדים. אף שהיא כלי הנדסי כימי בעיקרו, היא ישימה לבעיות הפרדת נוזל-אדים בפעולות כרייה כגון התכת כספית וזיקוק יסודות נדירים.
