צפיפות-רנטגן
צפיפות-רנטגן היא שיטה לא הרסנית למדידת צפיפות עץ, פרופילי מיקרו-צפיפות, ושונות צפיפות לפי טבעת בעץ, באמצעות ניתוח תמונות רנטגן. השיטה משתמשת בהנחתת קרני רנטגן העוברות דרך העץ כדי לכמת מסה ליחידת נפח. היא מאפשרת הערכה מהירה של איכות העץ מבלי להרוס את החומר, מה שהופך אותה לבעלת ערך למחקר, לדירוג עצים, ולתוכניות ברירה גנטית.
