גבישיות תאית
גבישיות תאית מתייחסת למידת הסדר המבני במולקולות תאית: לתאית גבישית מאוד יש שרשראות מאורגנות וארוזות בצפיפות; לתאית אמורפית יש שרשראות לא מסודרות. נמדדת באמצעות עקיפת קרני רנטגן, גבישיות תאית משפיעה על חוזק העץ, קשיחותו ועיכולו בתהליכי עיסת נייר ותהליכים אנזימטיים. גבישיות גבוהה יותר מתואמת עם חוזק רב יותר ותגובתיות כימית נמוכה יותר.
