מחקר דיוק אבחנתי מותאם
מחקר דיוק אבחנתי מותאם (matched diagnostic accuracy study) מעריך עד כמה מבחן אינדקס (index test) מזהה נכונה מצב יעד (target condition) במשתתפי מחקר אשר הותאמו על פי מאפיינים מרכזיים – כגון גיל, מין או חומרת מחלה – על מנת לשלוט בהשפעת משתנים מתערבים (confounding). על ידי זיווג נבדקים חולים ולא-חולים על פי גורמים רלוונטיים לפני ביצוע המבחן, העיצוב מבודד את הביצועים הדיפרנציאליים של המבחן עצמו מהשונות המיוחסת למשתנים בלתי מאוזנים, ומספק הערכות נקיות יותר של רגישות (sensitivity), סגוליות (specificity) ומדדי דיוק קשורים.
