Word2Vec בפיקוח חלש מאמן הטמעות (embeddings) בסגנון Word2Vec תוך שימוש בתיוגים שנוצרו באופן אוטומטי, רועשים או מבוססי היוריסטיקה, במקום תיוג ידני יקר. על ידי מינוף פונקציות תיוג, פיקוח מרוחק (distant supervision), או כללים מבוססי מילות מפתח להקצאת תוויות רכות (soft labels), הגישה מאפשרת ייצוגי מילים המותאמים לתחום גם בהיעדר קורפוסים גדולים מתויגים ידנית.
