Classification globale par télédétection
La classification globale par télédétection attribue à chaque pixel d'une image entière ou d'un jeu de données mondial une classe discrète de couverture terrestre ou thématique. En traitant la scène uniformément — plutôt qu'en s'adaptant à des sous-régions locales — cette approche exhaustive sous-tend les produits continentaux et mondiaux de couverture terrestre tels que GlobCover, FROM-GLC et ESA CCI Land Cover.
