RésuméRobust Federated Learning extends standard federated learning with Byzantine-tolerant aggregation rules that protect the global model against malicious, corrupted, or unreliable clients. Instead of naively averaging client gradients, robust aggregation methods such as coordinate-wise median or Krum filter out harmful updates so that a minority of adversarial participants cannot derail training.Bayesian Federated Learning combines federated learning — where model training is distributed across multiple clients without sharing raw data — with Bayesian inference, so that each client maintains a posterior distribution over model parameters rather than a single point estimate. This yields principled uncertainty quantification and more robust model aggregation across heterogeneous, privacy-preserving data silos.
