RésuméMultiple case-based discourse analysis is a qualitative research design that applies systematic discourse analysis within each of two or more purposively selected cases, then compares the discursive patterns, themes, and power relations across those cases. It combines the replication logic of Yin's multiple case study methodology with the text- and talk-centred analytical tools of discourse analysis traditions such as critical discourse analysis or conversation analysis, enabling researchers to build comparative, theoretically grounded accounts of how language constructs social reality across different contexts.Narrative analysis is a qualitative research method, synthesised canonically by Catherine Kohler Riessman (2008), that examines how individuals storise their lived experiences and construct meaning through the telling. Drawing on life history, biographical, and narrative inquiry traditions, it treats the story itself — not just its content — as the unit of analysis, attending to temporal sequence, plot structure, and the social context in which a narrative is produced.
