| Résumé≠ | Moderation analysis tests whether the effect of a predictor X on an outcome Y changes with the level of a third variable W, the moderator. It is estimated within a regression framework through an interaction term X×W, popularised by Aiken & West (1991) and Hayes's PROCESS macro (2018). | The Panel Data Fixed Effects model estimates relationships from panel data (the same units observed over several time periods) while controlling for unit- and/or time-specific effects, supporting causal inference. It is developed as the within estimator in standard treatments such as Hsiao's Analysis of Panel Data (2014). |
