| Résumé≠ | The CHA₂DS₂-VASc score, developed by Lip, Nieuwlaat, and colleagues in 2010, is a 9-point risk stratification tool for predicting annual stroke and systemic thromboembolism risk in patients with atrial fibrillation. It is the recommended score by major cardiology guidelines for guiding anticoagulation decisions. | CURB-65, derived and validated by Lim et al. in 2003, is a 5-point severity of illness score for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). It assesses confusion, urea nitrogen, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and age ≥65 years to stratify mortality risk and guide admission and treatment decisions. |
