Robustne konfirmatoorne faktorianalüüs (robust CFA) sobitab eelnevalt määratletud faktormudeli vaadeldud andmetele, parandades samal ajal standardvigu ja mudeli sobivuse statistikat mitmemuutujalise normaaljaotuse rikkumiste suhtes. See on CFA eelistatav variant alati, kui Likerti tüüpi, kaldus võirupole indikaatorid muudavad klassikalise normaalteooria estimaatori ebausaldusväärseks.
